Hungarian Government Master’s Study Scholarship for 2019

According to the Agreement between FAO and Hungary in 2007, The Hungarian Government Scholarship 2019 is financed by the Hungarian Government.

 

These are the Masters Degree Programme to be offered in English for the 2019-20 Academic Year:

  • MSc in Plant Protection (University of Pannonia)
  • MSc in Agricultural Biotechnology (Szent István University)
  • MSc in Rural Development and Agribusiness (Szent István University)

MSc in Plant Protection (University of Pannonia)

In English at the University of Pannonia, Georgikon Faculty, Keszthely, Hungary.
Course name: Master course on Plant protection.
Degree: Master in Plant Protection.

The objectives of the programme is to train specialists in plant protection who are able to fulfill directional, managing, organizing, consulting, regulating and marketing tasks, based on their wide theoretical knowledge.

MSc in Agricultural Biotechnology (Szent István University)

In English at the Szent István University, Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Gödöllő, Hungar
Course name: Master in Agricultural Biotechnology.
Degree: Master in Agricultural Biotechnology.

MSc in Rural Development and Agribusiness (Szent István University)

In English, at the Szent István University, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Gödöllő, Hungary
Course name: Master in Rural Development and Agribusiness.
Degree: Master in Rural Development and Agribusiness.

Training – based on agricultural, economics, management and rural sociology studies – focuses primarily on the understanding of the current problems of sustainable development and rural regions, collaboration in the area of development, project formulation, as well as the management and monitoring of project implementation.

The objective of the program is to train agricultural biotechnologists, who are competent in the field of biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, traditional and molecular genetics, transgenic breeding, reproduction biology and dissemination biology and familiar with the practical laboratory skills.

Benefits

The scholarship will cover:
Application and tuition fees throughout the study period with basic books and notes;

Eligibilities

  1. Candidates under 30 are preferred.
  2. Citizenship and residency of one of the eligible countries.
  3. Applicants who were not selected in previous years may re-apply to the 2019-2020 Programme.
  4. Students holding a BSc/MSc or equivalent.
  5. Residents (who must be nationals) of the following countries are eligible to apply for the Scholarship Programme:

Process of Application

Interested applicants should prepare a collection of paper to be sent by e-mail consisting of:

  • Application form duly completed
  • A recent curriculum vitae
  • A copy of high school/college diploma and transcript/report of study or copy of the diploma attachment
  • A copy of the certificate of proficiency in English
  • Copies of relevant pages of passport showing expiration date and passport number
  • A letter of recommendation
  • Statement of motivation
  • Health Certificate issued by Medical Doctor
  • Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the local police authority.

NOTE: All documents to be submitted must be in English language. Documents submitted in another language would not be accepted. Applicants should ensure that all certificates are duly translated certified by a competent office; and that each document is saved with a name that identifies what it is.
